A spokesperson for the SGF said: “The standard of golf amongst the youth of the Arab world is improving impressively. Handicaps in all categories are dropping rapidly. The competition looks to be fierce for both the Individual and Team Divisions.”
Mundhir Al Barwani, Chairman of the Oman Golf Association added “We wish all of our young players the best for this tournament, we have been fortunate in recent years to see success with our Under 18 team winning the Silver Medal and an individual Bronze Medal at the 2022 Pan Arab Championships in Tunisia, and we hope to go one better this year. On behalf of the players, I extend my thanks to the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Youth and to our partners Oman LNG, Sohar Aluminium, and Moore Stephens for their support.”
