Junior National Team Player Ayman Al Busaidi has made the trip to Scotland to compete in the 2022 R&A Junior Open Championships. The best under 16 golfers from each of the R&A's affiliates will play two rounds before a cut which will see the top 80 players making it through to the Final Round.

Practice Round
Round 1
Ayman's round 1 score was 77, +5, which put him in tied 54th place after 18 holes, the top 80 players after two rounds will make it through to the final round.
Round 2
Ayman's second round was played in challenging conditions but he played well to return a score of +9, 81, to sit at +14 for the Championship, once all round two scores were returned this was good enough for tied 63rd place which being within the top 80 players sees Ayman through to the third and final round.
Knowing that the cut line would be around his current score Ayman's final round was closed out in style with a valuable birdie on the par 5 18th hole at Monifieth Links. Well played Ayman.

Round 3
Having made the two round cut Ayman progressed to the third and final round.
Ayman faced the toughest conditions of the day for his third and final round, although his 87 dropped him to 74th place this was a great accomplishment against the best under 16 golfers in the world. Well done Ayman.
All of the competitors will now cap what has been an extraordinary week with a visit to the 150th Open Championship at St Andrews as guests of the R&A.
